Our team
Esther Stringer
I help brands functionally and emotionally connect with people. My empathy and attention to detail helps Clients understand what matters most to their customers.
I love to explore opportunities and validate assumptions using a variety of research and design thinking methods. I am lucky to have a diverse job spanning the business. In essence, my role is understanding what our Clients problems are and their individual context. Then I scope out what needs to be discovered or tested, and how.
With a firm grounding in physics I love analysing and improving services, systems and processes. I am happiest when designing efficient ways to do something, whether it is for a Client or our own business.

I’m constantly amazed at technology, and how the way we use it, can change the way we experience and do things. That’s why, I believe user centred design and continuous improvement are the most sensible approaches to take when trying to build something new or do something better.
At Border Crossing UX, I’m responsible for leading user experience projects. Whether we’re defining a user experience strategy or optimising an existing sign-up process, it’s my job to ensure we focus on the people and outcomes that matter.
In short, I’m at my happiest when I get to collaborate with clients on projects that solve challenging business problems.

I am a multidisciplinary designer with over 15 years’ experience designing for a multitude of clients, from charitable organisations to established global brands. Over this time, I have been fortunate to work with many talented and passionate people. Delivering campaigns, brands and visual communications across all media.
These projects have taught me that the most successful and fulfilling work is created through having a strong partnership with the client; focussing on design that has purpose while delivering meaningful value.
My role at Border Crossing is to lead the talented team of designers in this appropriate creative direction. Supporting them to exceed not only our client’s expectations but their own. When not pushing pixels I may be found twisting knobs on a synthesiser or drum machine. Making music, as well as being another creative outlet, is where I can lose myself and relax through loud beats and screeching sounds.
Scott Campbell
I am a passionate designer with an aim to make a difference. My goal is to make someone’s life that little bit easier and implement this in my work.
Design is such a broad subject, with so many diverse types, enabling me to explore and learn new skills. My role allows me to bring all my skills to the table whilst learning new ones along the way thanks to the variety of projects and clients we work with. I love being faced with challenges, finding the best suitable solution and being happy with the outcome.
I have a great interest in cars and feel like it works well with my job. Of course, seeing a nice looking car is cool, but I also like to think about the deeper insights. How does driving the car make you feel, is it comfortable, or is it practical? These questions are those that initiate the research stage and are the questions you investigate before formulating a visual identity. These steps are also the best way to tackle new challenges and briefs.
